Manhattan Beach 10k - October 4, 2014

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

This was my second year running the Manhattan Beach 10K.  It's easily become one of my favorite 10Ks to run.  The 10k is community run, comprised solely of volunteers.  And all of the profit goes directly back to the youth of Manhattan Beach as well as parks and recreation.  If you've been to Manhattan Beach, you would know it's pretty hilly -- making it perfect training for the Nike Women's Half Marathon.  I really wanted to beat my time last year, so I didn't get any pictures throughout the course.  The course starts on the border of Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach and ends at Manhattan Beach Pier.

Here's my outfit grid for this race:
Clockwise: Nike+ FuelBand, Nike+ SportWatch GPS, Nike Air Pegasus+ 29, Nike Pro Core 3" Zigzag, Lululemon Swiftly Headband, Manhattan Beach 10K Bib, Nike Miler Women's Running Tank Top

Some shots of us before the race:

Us at the start line:

My shirt said "PACER" on the back. I hope no one really thought I was a pacer!

Us at the finish line, my chip time was 58:30, beating my time last year by almost 15 whole minutes:

How awesome do my friends look after running 10K?!

We finished the day off celebrating at the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair's Beer Garden:

  1. Hello friend!! This place is really looking cool for a party and your gang is looking great. I attended my friend’s party there. Anyway, I am looking for corporate event Chicago venues as well. Can you suggest me something helpful please?

  2. I like the post format as you create user engagement in the complete article. It seems round up of all published posts. Thanks for gauging the informative posts.
